Other Grief Events
Widowed Persons Lunch
Join us over lunch for conversation and companionship with others who share similar life experiences. This is an informal, on-going group that meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 11:30 a.m., at Finley’s American Grill, 6300 S. Cedar, Lansing. Just show up! Lunch is the participant’s responsibility.
Musical Performances at Stoneleigh Residence
Please join us for a delightful time of listening to live music each Sunday. Performances begin at 2:00 and last for about an hour. All are welcome.
“In Memory of a Loved One”
Join us at Stoneleigh Residence to plant a container garden, Saturday, May 22, 2010, 11:00 am. – 1:30 pm. Bring an 8 inch or smaller decorative flower pot and plant a container garden in memory of someone you love for you to take home with you. Flowering annual plants will be available for you to choose from. A $15 fee includes plants and a light lunch of soup and bread. Planting time is from 11 a.m. to noon, lunch will be served from 12:00 to 12:30, after which you may work on your project or take a walk and enjoy the grounds. Please register for this event by May 14 by calling 877/882-4500.
Camp Forget-Me-Not
A camp for grieving children in mid-Michigan designed to improve their emotional health and well-being. Since 2001 Camp Forget-Me-Not has helped hundreds of children in grades 1-7 who have experienced loss due to the death of a loved one. Camp Forget-Me-Not is a day camp staffed by professionals and trained volunteers who provide guidance through support groups, music therapy, crafts, and other nature and recreational activities. This year's Camp will be held as follows:
